Women’s Political Rights Around the World

In honour of International Women’s Day on the 8th March 2013, this map allows you to explore the state of women’s rights around the world.

By dragging the slider you can see the progress of women’s suffrage over time.  Clicking on a country shows additional information about healthcare, employment and parliamentary divisions.

Notice how New Zealand women were first given the right to vote but fell behind the rest of the world in the right to stand for election and the first women to be elected.

Hi there! Quick question that’s completely off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My blog looks weird when browsing from my iphone 4. I’m trying to find a template or plugin that might
be able to correct this issue. If you have any suggestions, please share.
